This project focuses on creating a detailed 3D model of the CAT 583K pipelayer, a specialized heavy machine widely used in pipeline construction and large infrastructure projects.
The goal was to accurately capture the mechanical structure, lifting system, and overall proportions of the real machine while maintaining clean topology and production-ready geometry suitable for visualization, animation, and simulation workflows.
The project included:
• Complete exterior body modeling
• Tracked undercarriage and chassis
• Sideboom pipelayer lifting system
• Hook, cable and pulley mechanisms
• Operator cabin and control components
• Engine housing and rear assemblies
• Handrails, ladders and safety structures
Special attention was given to the lifting system and cable structure to ensure realistic mechanical behavior and accurate proportions.
